ES4524C 24 port Gigabit L2/L4 Managed SwitchThe ES4524C is a 24 port Gigabit L2 Switch. It offers 20 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 ports and 4 paired RJ-45/SFP (mini-GBIC) slots. Comprehensive management functions are provided via the web interface or the RS232 (DTE) console port, allowing for quick and easy configuration of security, QoS, and other network management functions.
The security features of the ES4524 include password protection, MAC-based static port security, RADIUS, TACACS+, Secure shell (SSH/Secure telnet), HTTPS/SSL, and L2 access control lists.
It offers full layer 2 management functionality plus further features such as SNMP, SNTP, support for multiple configurations, dual firmware images, extensive spanning tree and VLAN functions and more.
The Switch supports enhanced reliability via an optional 19inch Redundant Power Supply unit. This unit can supply redundant power to four ES series Switches from the one unit. A DC power connection links upto 4 ES switches from the redundant master unit. If the power supply fails or Mains supply fails in any one of the 4 connected switches, then the Redundant link cuts in immediately.
