A CopperLink 2151 Series Ethernet Extender Kit offers an efficient and cost effective solution for long range multi-rate (asymmetrical or symmetrical) connections of up to 15Mbps over a single twisted-pair voice-grade wire.

The CopperLink 2151 Series Multi-rate Ethernet Extender enables the utilisation of existing copper cable infrastructure for high speed Ethernet extensions at data rates up to 15Mbps. The 2151 includes asymmetrical and symmetrical settings for increasing the distance or speed of the Ethernet connections.

2151 Extenders are supplied as a kit, comprising local and remote devices. Their compact size and connection options make installation easy. The dual 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports are equipped with shielded RJ-45 jacks for connection to an Ethernet hub/switch, PC, or network-enabled device. The CopperLink Line port is equipped with an RJ-45 jack for easy connection to the CopperLink Extenders. For convenient installation, 2151 devices auto-sense and configure for 10Base-T or 100Base-TX as well as full or half-duplex operation. Both local and remote 2151 Extender devices are available for purchase separately.

CopperLink applications include Ethernet extension, medical imaging, video-conferencing, and inter-connecting remote devices or remote networks to a central LAN. The multi-rate symmetrical line rates ensure the highest possible data rate is achieved over various lengths and types of copper wire and environments.
