The 3S700AU, an Eaton 3S Standby UPS Series model, is designed to protect office and home computer equipment. This 700VA rated UPS has six C13 outputs: 3 providing battery backup and surge protection, and 3 with surge protection.

Eaton's 3S700AU Standby UPS helps protect computer equipment and data in case of everyday events such as lightning strikes, storms, over-demand on the utility grid, accidents, and natural disasters knocking out power supply without warning. The UPS has six C13 type Australian outlets for easy connection of most types of computers, peripheral devices, POS equipment, broadband modems and IP telephony infrastructure. The 3S700AU UPS will support a connected device such as a computer for up to 9 minutes at 50% load, and also protects telephone, broadband and Ethernet lines from ‘back door' power surges. The 3S700AU also features the energy saving EcoControl function; up to 30% energy savings can be achieved with attached peripherals being automatically disables when the master device, such as a computer, is turned off.

The 3S700AU is a model from Eaton's 3S Standby UPS Series. Models in the range offer up to 700VA/420 watts battery capacity. All models feature a compact, sealed lead-acid battery that is replaceable. A HID-compliant USB communications port enables automatic integration with most common operating systems (Windows XP, Vista and 7, Linux, Mac OS X - USB cable supplied), utilising Shutdown Software supplied with the UPS that supports configuration to automatically save work in progress on a PC and the graceful shut down of applications without losing data. Once the power is restored, you can continue working exactly where you left off. A resettable circuit breaker is provided for input power protection. All 3S Standby UPS Series models are housed in a durable case designed for Desktop or Wallmount installation.
