Description

Quattro3 Power Hub enables users to place the Quattro3 speakerphone up to 100 feet away from the video conferencing sourcing unit by transforming the traditional cabling from USB to CAT5.

As the conferencing market moves toward cloud based video conferencing, there is an increasing demand in utilizing USB based speakerphones to efficiently cover medium to large sized conference rooms. One of the challenges is having the ability to place the speakerphone a large distance away from the video conference sourcing unit. This presents a unique challenge as power and data transfer over USB is limited to 20 feet of wiring. USB extenders typically degregate performance and do not provide an acceptable solution over large distances. Phoenix Audio has developed a solution called the Quattro3 Power Hub, which guarantees a fully performing Quattro3 speakerphone up to 100 feet away from the power and USB source. The Quattro3 Power Hub MT340 is a small unit that is positioned next to the 319.50 355.00 1Y VidyoRoom (sold separately) system and connects through a standard USB cable and a proprietary 48V AC/DC power adaptor (sold separately). The Power Hub is then connected to the master Quattro3 unit via any standard CAT5 cable. Both data and power are routed to the Quattro3 through the CAT5 cable, allowing the VidyoRoom to be up to 100 feet away from the first Quattro3 unit. The Power Hub also supports power daisy chaining when connected to Quattro3 units that support power daisy chaining.
