Edge-Core's ECS4610-50T is a stackable Gigabit Ethernet L3 switch with 48x 1000Base-T ports, 4x Gigabit RJ-45/SFP port arrays and 2x slots for 10GbE XFP modules. Up to 8 units can be stacked via optional Stacking Cables with integrated transceivers.

Edge-Core's ECS4610-50T is a 48 port Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 managed switch. Providing high performance, resilient stacking, wire speed Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, comprehensive QoS and advanced security functions, this switch delivers the scalability and resiliency required to increase enterprise productivity whilst reducing operational costs, and is ideal for service provider edge aggregation, enterprise wiring closets, data center aggregation and network core deployment.

The ECS4610-50T is a high density, high performance switch capable of 176Gbps network throughput. 48x 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports are provided, and Gigabit or 10Gigabit network uplinks via copper or fibre optic cable are supported with the provision of dual XFP slots for optional 10GbE Transceivers and 4 Gigabit copper RJ-45/fibre SFP port arrays.

This switch is a member of Edge-Core's ECS4600 Stackable L3 Switch Series, which offers comprehensive management features accessed via a user-friendly web interface, command line interface (CLI - for advanced users) or SNMP-based management. Hardware-based IPv6 and IPv4 routing hardware is supported, as is IPv6 management functions in SNMP, HTTP, Telnet, TFTP, ICMP, SSH, RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication and IPv6 QoS remapping.

The ECS4610-50T provides two stacking ports for hardware stacking up to 320Gbps throughput. This feature is shared with the other model in the ECS4600 Series, the ECS4610-26T. Any combination of up to 8 of these two switches can be stacked, providing a maximum of 400 ports. The stack acts as a single switching unit that is managed by a master switch, elected from one of the member switches. The master switch automatically creates and updates all the switching and optional routing tables. A working stack can add new members or delete old ones without service interruption. Dedicated Stacking Cables are provided to support this feature. In addition, up to four units of either model of switch can be supported with full redundant power via an optional Edge-Core RPS600WA rackmountable Redundant Power Supply.
