Description

The Edge-Core ECS5510 is a 10Gigabit Ethernet Layer2/4 switch, with 24 SFP+ slots into which any mix of copper (UTP or CX4), multimode fibre or singlemode fibre 10GbE Transceiver Modules can be installed.

Edge-Core ECS5510-24S is a 24 port 10Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2/4 switch, designed from the ground up to be deployed in medium to large data centers and enterprise networks that require maximum bandwidth. With its unmatched port density, the ECS5510-24S is ideally suited for converged Ethernet applications such as 10Gigabit Ethernet traffic aggregation and Fibre Channel over Ethernet.

The ECS5510-24S is capable of 480Gbps of network throughput, enabling the switch to fully support the demand for bandwidth brought on by server virtualization and other bandwidth intensive applications. Dual hot-swappable power supplies enable the system to continue operation even in the event of a single power supply failure. To ensure longevity, the ECS5510-24S employs data center-friendly front to back cooling, dissipating unwanted heat efficiently and effectively.

The ECS5510-24S features both a user-friendly web interface and a command line interface for advanced users. SNMP-based management is fully supported. Advanced Layer 2 management features are supported, including: Jumbo frames up to 10K bytes, 802.1Qau Quantized Congestion Notification, 802.1Qbb Priority Flow Control. 802.1Qaz Enhanced Transmission Selection and FCoE ACL and FIP snooping. Layer 4 QoS functions are also supported.

With 24 SFP+ slots on the switch, any mix of copper (SFP+ Direct Attach, 10GBase-T, 10GBase-CX4), multimode fibre optic (10GBase-SR) or singlemode fibre optic (10GBase-LR, 10GBase-LRM, 10GBase-ER, 10GBase-ZR and 10GBase-LX4) 10Gigabit Transceiver Modules can be installed.
