The EL1600USBIECAU, an Eaton Ellipse Eco UPS Series model, is designed to protect office computer and communications equipment. This 1.6kVA rated UPS has eight C13 outputs: 4 providing battery backup and surge protection, and 4 with surge protection.

Eaton's EL1600USBIECAU Standby UPS provides energy-efficient power protection for business computers, peripherals, POS systems and small network infrastructure equipment. As well as providing a power supply backed up by a battery to keep equipment operating during a power failure, the UPS provides effective, IEC 61643-1 standard compliant protection against damaging electrical surges - and the device also surge protects data connections such as Ethernet, internet and telephone lines. The UPS has four C13 type outlets; three with both surge protection and backup and one with surge protection only. The EL1600USBIECAU UPS will support a connected device such as a computer for up to 9 minutes at 50% load.

The EL1600USBIECAU is a model from Eaton's Ellipse Eco Standby UPS Series. Models in the range offer up to 1.6kVA/1kW battery capacity. All models in the series feature a replaceable sealed lead-acid battery that is. A HID- compliant USB communications port supports automatic integration with most common operating systems (including Windows XP, Vista and 7, Linux and Mac OS X). Eaton's Intelligent Power software is also supplied, providing comprehensive power management and auto shutdown functions. In the event of a power outage, the system will automatically save work in progress on a PC and gracefully shuting down applications without losing data. Other features include a resettable circuit breaker for input power protection, periodic battery fault self-testing, and the energy saving EcoControl function, which provides up to 30% energy savings with attached peripherals being automatically disabled when a master device, such as a computer, is turned off.

Ellipse Eco Series models are supplied in a durable 2-in-1 format Rack/Tower case, and can be installed in desktop, rackmount or wallmount modes (optional 2RU rackmount kit and wallmount kit needed for latter two modes).
