The EM4704M44GT is a Layer 3 Management Module for Edge-Core's ES4704BD Chassis Switch. It provides Layer 2/Layer 3 management plus network connectivity: 44x 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports.

The EM4704M44GT is an integrated Management and Network Module Card for use with the ES4704BD Chassis Switch. It provides advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 management functions plus network connectivity. A single management module can be installed, or dual modules in Primary Controller / Primary Backup redundant mode.

Browser-based web management is supported, as is CLI via console port or Telnet. SNMP (versions 1, 2 and 3) and RMON (groups 1,2,3, and 9) management protocols are supported. Layer 3 routing protocols include BGP4+, RIP (v1/v2), RIPng and OSPF (v2/v3) - IPv4/IPv6 static routing is also supported. A comprehensive range of Layer 2 features includes VLAN Q-in-Q, Voice VLAN, LACP, Unicast/Multicast Load balancing, and IGMP snooping. Access Control Lists (ACL) is included with other important security features.

Gigabit network connectivity is supported over auto-sensing 10/100/1000Mbps copper UTP, via network ports mounted on the card; 44x 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports.
