Description
The EM4710BD-AGENT2 is the second generation Layer 3 Management Module for Edge-Core's ES4710BD 10 slot Chassis Switch, and adds MPLS support. The module can be isnatalled in single or dual redundant mode.
The EM4710BD-AGENT2 Management Module provides support for MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) WAN routing protocols as well as advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 management functions. Supported MPLS protocols are: LDP, L3 MPLS VPN, VLL/VPS aqnd MPSL-TE/FRR.Browser-based web management is supported, as is CLI via console port or Telnet. SNMP (versions 1, 2 and 3) and RMON (groups 1,2,3, and 9) management protocols are supported.
Layer 3 routing protocols include BGP4+, RIP (v1/v2), RIPng and OSPF (v2/v3) - IPv4/IPv6 static routing is also supported.
A comprehensive range of Layer 2 features includes VLAN Q-in-Q, Voice VLAN, LACP, Unicast/Multicast Load balancing, and IGMP snooping. Access Control Lists (ACL) is included with other important security features.
