The Edge-Core ES4612 is a Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet routing switch. With 8 SFP slots and 4 combo RJ-45 port arrays, this is an ideal solution for use in the distribution layer of three-tier networks or as a core switch for smaller enterprises.
The Edge-Core ECS4612 is a Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet routing switch, offering 8 Gigabit SFP slots plus 4 combo Gigabit RJ-45/SFP port arrays. The SFP slots on the switch support all types of Gigabit mini-GBIC modules - 1000Base-T copper UTP as well as multimode, singlemode and WDM network connectivity over fibre optic cable.
The ECS4610-24F offers IPv4 and IPv6 Layer 3 hardware-based routing for maximum performance. Advanced Layer 3 and Layer 2 management features can be accessed via an HTTP interface, CLI, or SNMP. Comprehensive Quality of Service and enhanced security functions are supported.
The switch offers a range of features designed to maximise resilience and availability, including support for uo to four ECS4612 swirtches to be provided with full redundant power supply from an optional Edge-Core RPS600WA Rackmount Power Supply.
The ECS4612 provides a cost-effective, wirespeed Layer 3 switching and routing solution, with a comprehensive feature set, robust security functions, and powerful QoS features that delivers the scalability and reliability required in modern converged networks.
