The Edge-Core ES4624-SFP is a Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 Standalone switch with 16x SFP Gigabit Ethernet slots and 8x combo Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45/SFP port arrays.The 24 available SFP slots are used to install Gigabit mini-GBIC modules, provoding a scalable solution for high density 1000Base-TX, 1000Base-SX, 1000Base-LX, 1000Base-ZX network connectivity over copper UTP and multimode, singlemode or WDM fibre optic cable.
A member of the ES4620-SFP Series of switches, the ES4624-SFP is ideal for use in the distribution layer of three-tier networks, providing the ability for long distance fibre connections to aggregate access layer switches that are dispersed in different locations. This switch is also an excellent choice as a core switch for smaller enterprises.
