Description

The GEM6450V2LC is a PCI 2.2 standards compliant Gigabit Ethernet singlemode fibre optic Network Adapter with an SC connector. It is designed to operate in 32-bit and 64-bit PCI host systems, and supports 33/66Mhz PCI buses at both 5 and 3.3Volts.

GEM6450V2LC is one of the GEM6400V2 Series of PCI Gigabit Ethernet Network Adaptors. This model is a 1000Base-ZX singlemode fibre optic Adapter with an SC connector. Other models in the series offer different types of connector, with either multimode or singlemode connectivity. All GEM6400V2 Series Adapters are PCI 2.2 standard compliant, and operate in both 32-bit and 64-bit PCI host systems, supporting 33/66Mhz PCI buses at both 5 and 3.3Volts.

The GEM6450V2LC supports a maximum range of 50 kilometres over singlemode fibre optic cable.

GEM6400V2 Series Adapters are designed for use in both Server or Workstation environments. They utilise an advanced Broadcom chipset, and support features such as on-board screening of VLAN Tags, Jumbo Frame support, 802.1p QoS and 802.3ad LACP. With built-in BootROM support for PXE and RPL, Network Adminsitrators can utilise configuration features such as Remote Installation Services to quickly manage and deploy workstation computers.
