The M68404, an Eaton EX Series Online UPS, is a dual format 3RU Rack/Tower, double conversion online UPS. A built-in super charger for extra long backup times This 3kVA rated UPS has 8x IEC C13 10amp and 1x C19 16amp power outlets.

Eaton's M68404 is a True Online UPS with double conversion architecture for maximum availability and supporting automatic by-pass and power factor correction. The M68404 has an inbuilt super high speed charger and is supplied without batteries - it is designed for custom long backup time UPS configurations. This flexible online UPS is housed in a dual purpose 3RU Rack/Tower case (designed for short-depth network racks), and delivers perfect sinewave output that guarantees consistent high level power quality. Rated for a 0.9 power factor, this UPS is compatible with high power factor loads. The UPS has a wide input voltage range (100 to 284 volts), ideal for the harshest electrical environments. Output sockets are individually controlled to provide load-shedding capability, maximising backup time and providing remote reboot and sequential start-up functionality. EXB External Battery Modules can be added to the M68404's custom internal battery configuration to provide very long backup times of 190 minutes or longer (@ 50% load). The M68404 has eight IEC 10amp and one IEC C19 16amp power output sockets and 3kVA/2.7kW internal battery capacity.

The EX Series offers unmatched deployment flexibility: all models have a dual purpose convertible rack/tower format, with 2RU and 3RU short-depth rack optimised model options (Note that 2.2/3kVA models require input cable 6E1619 to be ordered separately).The following features are supported in addition to those mentioned above: Hot swappable, field upgradable batteries make maintenance easier and extend the operational lifetime of the UPS; the optional HotSwap MBP (Maintenance By-Pass) Module allows the UPS to be replaced without interrupting the power supply. Comprehensive communications options include both serial and USB ports, Remote On/Off and Power Off (ROO/RPO) connectors and a rear panel slot for optional HTML/SNMP, ModBus/JBus and Relay Outputs Communication Cards. The UPS comes with a complete Eaton software suite supporting power management, auto-shutdown, and remote supervision operations. An intuitive front-panel LCD provides access to a wide range of measurements, alarms and set-up/control menus. With optional FlexPDU and HotSwap MBP Maintenance Bypass modules, EX Series UPS in deployed in 2RU or 3RU rackmount format models can be connected by Australian 3-pin, IEC sockets or terminal blocks for hardwiring.
