The MS888G2-1AC1DC is a Modular Fast Ethernet Layer 2 Web and SNMP managed Switch that supports up to 24 UTP or fibre modular ports, plus dual Gigabit RJ-45/SFP port arrays. The switch has Dual Redundant AC and DC Modular Power Supplies.

The MS888G2-1AC1DC Switch is a high performance Web interface and SNMP managed switch that provides a modular solution for 100Mbps networking with Fibre or Copper termination. The modular 3 slot chassis design supports up to 24x 10/100Mbps copper or 100Mbps fibre ports, with 2 built-in Gigabit paired dual media ports to support Gigabit uplinks with optional mini-GBIC Transceiver modules installed.

Intelligent Network features offer a complete management solution that enables you to scale your network from a single departmental switch right up to any enterprise environment. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP and RSTP) support provides network redundancy features, IGMP snooping offers support for streaming video and multicasting images, tagged VLAN offers logical security and management of nodes within defined groups. QoS based on port priority queues and ToS bytes ensure efficient forwarding of critical network data. The switch also supports a full range of management options such as intelligent Web browser management with user-friendly pull-down menus, and Help Pages, Telnet and RS-232 Console based Management and SNMP and RMON groups 1,2,3,9 for critical networks that require real time fault diagnostics and alerts. Up to 16 switches can be virtual stacked and managed via a single IP address.

The switch facilitates high availability services through intelligent network management and support for dual redundant power supplies. The base MS888G2 chassis is available pre-installed with either single AC or DC 'hot swap' modular power supplies - this model MS888G2-1AC1DC is supplied with two dual redundant AC and DC power supply Modules. All Power and Network Port Modules for the MS888G2 chassis are 'Hot Swappable' allowing the switch to be configured with different port variations without having to power down your network.
