The Alloy NS-08T is an unmanaged Layer 2 Fast Ethernet switch. The compact desktop case is ideally suited to support small workgroups in Fast Ethernet network environments.

Alloy's NS-08T 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch is designed to meet IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3x specifications. With 8x 1000Base-TX and wirespeed switching performance, this switch is a cost-effective solution for easing network congestion and enhancing network performance in Fast Ethernet environments. Store-and-forward switching technology ensures low latency and eliminates data fragments and corrupted packets. In full-duplex mode, transmission and reception of packets can occur simultaneously without causing collisions, supporting transmission speeds of 200Mbps whilst concurrent read/write operations are taking place. Nway functionality auto-configures all ports for half or full-duplex transmission modes and 10Mbps or 100Mbps speeds. Each port will also auto detect MDI/MDI-X cable connections allowing any port to be connected either as a workstation port or an uplink port to another switch. A comprehensive LED suite provides status information, including Link/Activity, 100Mbps and Full-Duplex LEDs.

The NS-08T's small form factor all-metal case and 300 gram weight makes the device an ideal solution for supporting small workgroups in Fast Ethernet network environments..
