The MCM-8S22-W 10Gigabit Ethernet Managed Media Converter, a model from the the MCM Series, has dual 10GbE SFP+ slots.This device has wide applications for multimode/singlemode fibre media conversion wherever 10Gigabit bandwidth is required.
This MCM Series Standalone Managed Media Converter Module, the MCM-8S22-W, has dual SFP+ slots. It supports 10GbE multimode to singlemode fibre optic media conversion , utilising SFP+ 10GBase-SR or 10GBase-LR Transceiver Modules installed in the SFP+ slots.
MCM Series Standalone Managed Media Converter Modules are designed for use in network environments where the ultra high bandwidth provided by 10Gigabit Ethernet is required - for example, datacentres, enterprise backbones, campus networks, and carriers infrastructure. These Converters are discrete devices, housed in compact yet robust all-metal cases. The MCM Series offers models for all types of 10Gigabit media conversion applications, with individual models offering combinations of RJ-45, SFP+, XFP and CX4 interfaces to support 10GBase-T, 10GBase-CX, 10GBase-SR and 10GBase-LR copper or fibre links. In addition, one model is designed for Gigabit Ethernet environments for copper to multimode, singlemode or WDM fibre media conversion. All MCM Series Converters provide realtime LED status indicators to support maintenance and troubleshooting. Web-based management enables provide users with comprehensive system control, status report, and MIB counter reports.
